Acrobat v.4 .jobOptions settings

To make a .pdf format, first export your original application file as a .eps or a .ps file. Launch Acrobat Distiller 4.

  1. Under Settings, select Job Options
  2. Under each tab, choose the settings as shown
Choose Save As... and name your new .joboption (example: NJNewsprint.joboption). Choose OK and go back to the main window - see below.

Drag and drop your .eps or .ps file on top of the distiller window. Acrobat Distiller will generate the .pdf file for you

After downloading the correct .joboption setting, place the file into the 'Settings' folder:
Mac: Go to the Acrobat Application folder. Then go to Acrobat4: Distiller: Settings
Windows: Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 4.0\Distillr\Settings
