Quark Xpress 6 - Sending a Quark 6 file (mac or windows)
The illustrations below were made using a Mac but the settings exist in almost the same place, on Windows.
- Save your file BACK to Quark 5 Document! We have not completely transitioned to Quark 6 as of January, 2004. Call us.
- Go to 'File' and then go to 'Collect For Output'

| Quark 6 will collect all of your art and the document itself. Quark 6 collects all fonts, screen and printer, even fonts in placed .eps files. |
Printing Quark 6 file to a .pdf (mac).
- You DO NOT need Acrobat distiller to make a .pdf from Quark 6.
- Follow the screen shots below and use the appropriate settings to make your newspaper quality .pdf file.

Export the 'layout as PDF...'

Choose the 'Options...'
|

|
Skip 'layout info' and 'hyperlinks'.
In 'Job Options', make the selections as noted.

| In the 'Output' area, match our setups. |
 |
|
|
After choosing the settings shown, select 'OK'.A .pdf file suitable for newsprint will be created at the location you designated.
